Thanks Rob. I really like this hobby(controlled addiction >:D) its very fun to see what others are putting out and what you can do to work your way to what others are making.

looking good . this stuff is addicting

no kidding bob, its great!

You're really making great improvement in a very short time. I've been thinking about giving knapping a try but haven't gotten around to it, but I'm going to have to it. Your excitement is contagious!

;D What can i say! its a lot of fun! i think having a fair bit of knowledge of how flakes flake is important to not get frustrated. Ive used this book: http://www.amazon.com/Flintknapping-The-Making-Stone-Tools/dp/0942568052/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1350571964&sr=8-2&keywords=flintknapping
it explains enough that you can get decent arrowheads done. the other source i found is this one: http://flintknappinginfo.webstarts.com/uploads/PressureFlaking.pdf
this also gives a decent explanation. I also think looking for flintknappers on youtube helps, it gives you the opportunity to see them using their form and also they explain what they are doing.
Hope to see some points from you soon!

I'm planning on starting as soon as my ultra top secret project for the Christmas exchange is done. It's turning into more work than I thought it would be, but it's been a lot of fun.

I have my hands full with all this knapping and with the Christmas trade and the board bow trade, also making another 3-4 bows for others by the end of December... so busy ;D
