With this cooler weather, I just can't help myself. All I can think of is stuffing things into my smoker!

This time it was 15 lbs of country style pork ribs and some venison brats.
I put up a total of 25 lbs of brats, here's some of them wrapped and ready for the freezer:

And the last one off the stuffer was a little short:

Sadly, none of the piggie-parts came from gstoneberg's hunting lease in Texas. Maybe next year!

OK, you got me. I thought you were suffering from nicotine withdrawal ::)
Good Eats!

More like hickory withdrawal.

Not my fault...but we didn't do that well until the last 6 weeks. Be better next year.
Good looking brats and other smokes. I'm getting out a pig to cook tomorrow. Rotisserie if it fits and smoker if it doesn't. Gonna be good eats.

You got me too.... I thought it was about coffin nails.

Oh you dog! Here I was going to offer moral support and not I got sausage brain >:(

My little pig is smoking away as I type. I hired 4 laborers to do the work I didn't have the back for today and told them I was smoking a whole pig and would share if they worked hard. They're out there working like a house afire.

It helps that the smoke smell wafts over them as they work. I guess I'm having a hard time quitting smoking too.

By George, that is some fine looking piglet! Mighty fine! Some beans, coleslaw, rye bread, and a bottle of excellent pinot noir and I I might be willing to die for that!
-
I had to finish the pig up on the grill, but it was still awesome. I don't think those laborers had ever had anybody cook for them quite like this. They loved it.

I did too, and ate so much I really could not work if I had to. Not sure how they're doing it.
Sorry for hijacking your thread JW, I'm done now. :)

Sir, I do not consider this a hijacking, but merely "pitching in".
There is nothing that satisfies me so much as making a great meal and serving it up to folks that tuck in to clean it up! Looks like those folks were getting well taken care of, Georgie! Good for you.
