Title: Testing a new glue
Post by: skyarrow on October 04, 2012, 11:30:11 am
Well I didn't have any pitch to use and I wasn't in the mood to mix my two part epoxy so digging in my junk pile I found this tube glue all max Iv used it for gluing rubber gaskets back together and they never showed signed of it expanding. So I made my notch with a spall and glued this ravalla glass point in let me just say this isn't a place and forget it type of glue it's tacky time was an hour. So for the next hour I had to spin the arrow in my hands to keep the glues from running lol not to bad of a task to test this new glue I started to notice It was bubbling odd well after the hour it was tacky a expanding lol . So this morning it had a bulge on one side not to bad I smoothe it with my knife. One thing I can say is this stuff is great on  holding stuff this ravalla is in there and it will break before it come un hafted well here are the pics of this hunting arrow I made. Poplar shaft, buzzard feathers and glass point

You do realize possessing buzzard feathers is illegal, right?

It is illegal to possess Raptor or Vulture feathers or parts.  This can get you into serious trouble if they are identified as such by wildlife officers or officials.
