Title: New bow, again
Post by: wolleybugger on September 02, 2012, 01:29:37 pm
The one thing I love about self bows are they can be retillered whenever you decide to change to a lighter bow. I just got mine retillered for the upcoming deer season and she is shooting like a dream. I took a lot of the wood off the sides and not so much of the belly and didn't have to do much retillering. Those Osage self bows can really last a lifetime and as you get older  can adapt to your hunting needs. I guess you could say they are the perfect bow. Watch out deer here I come.lol

I agree with Cam.  It's all hearsay and rumour until we see the photos!   >:D

Also with taking wood off the sides, you reduced the mass of the limbs more than just lost draw weight.  The bow should shoot pretty quick for it's weight.
