Do you guys make lightweight bows for small game or use your 50 pound draw bows?
-
Yes........... I use my 60# bow for rabbits, I think it is good practice. I have also used my kids bows. Justin

I use the same bows for everything. Weather it be hunting big game, small game, 3D shoots or just regular ole target practice. All are hunting weight bows. Pat

Me too
-
all bows over 40#. in Finland the hunting law requires a bow with such minimum draw weight. an we can oly hunt animals up to roe deer. so not as much big game in here for a bow >:(. eventhough 50000- 60000 moose are killed every year.. :-\ my bow for game birds, rabbits squirrels etc is 56#.

Same as Pat/Mullet.Same all the time. :)

Yep, me too!

Then I guess that flu-flu arrows are a must for squirrels and such?
-
Regular hunting bow...and NUTTERS for me. I have some bladed blunts for grouse huntin

So far my 120# er seems to work ok. But pulling the peices of rabbit or squirell out of the trees is getting to be a bit of a pain! ;D

Most of my small game hunting,is done,in the Colder months. It not uncommon to be hunting in Below freezeing Temps round here. For this reason,i use a lighter bow for small game. For Small game, there really isnt any reason,to use a heavy bow.The lighter bows kill em just as dead, and are easier to hold at full draw, when shooting at moveing small game.Especially when its cold.My son, shoots a 20 lb bow for cottontails, and has had complete pass throughs with 1/4" hex heads.
