Title: rose

I have just "pruned "  >:D my wife's rose bush ...trimmed off the thorns, and branches, cut to 36" and bundled them ...the question i have is do i strip the bark, seal ends, what works best for what i have??? Thanks for any help

Leave the bark on them for a month or so then you can strip the bark without checking. You can cold straighten them every few days and in a month they should be pretty straight. Just a little tweaking with heat to get them right.

Like most natural shafting(and bow wood) rose shoots make better arrows after they have had plenty of time to properly season.

Thanks for the info...I'm going to give it a try on some multiflora rose...I presume it will work...anything special to look out for using it?
