Have y'all been watching the news lately? Hanta Virus "outbreak" has claimed lives and 10,000 poeple have been potentially exposed according to the news. Can you say mass hysteria? Folks have been living and working in and around mouse infested areas for more than 100 years here with nothing like this in the past, so why now? Not really sure myself but visitation has dropped and the conscessioner is lamenting loss of income. CDC is here - everything is getting cleaned and disinfected. Any thoughts on this one?

man that is a little scary, i don't know why there is all these diseases popping up all over. maybe it is from mild winters letting the mouse populations build up? here in oklahoma and texas we are having westnile virus outbreaks , a health warning was issued a couple weeks ago ??? hopefully we will have a good freeze this winter and take care of some of that. hope they get things cleaned up good for you guys.

Ben, there was a question on Jeopardy about the highest continuous waterfall being in Yosemite and none of the teachers got it right.
HV and WN Are scary and also population density dependent. We have had to deaths in IN due to WN.

We got the double whammy in CA - HV and WN - WN seems minly to be in the central valley and slightly into the foot hills. Yosemite is the Tallest Waterfall in North America 2425 feet. It is only an intermittent wf though. Spent most of yesterday answering phones - CDC is good at creating mass hysteria. We have a call center with four lines and they stay pretty busy. Gonna try to stay out of there today -
