I saw some guys who have made quivers out of large bamboo. Where the world do you find bamboo that size? I'd like to get my hands on some, but wasn't sure where to begin. Any help would be appreciated

When I lived in south Alabama, it was everywhere. I had access to several really nice groves with bamboo 6-8 inches across. I'm in north Illinois now and haven't seen any. The farthest north I've seen moso growing is just south of nashville.

I figured you wouldn't see it around here....southern IN. I'm in hopes someone might know of a relatively expensive supply somewhere.

I'll ck around here and see if my neighbors boo is big enough, if so I'll send you some. They are Asian and have a lot of large patches around the pond.

It's all around where I live, too.

It makes a nice quiver. I traded Jeff for apiece a few years ago and it's worked out real nice. Believe it or not there are a few patches of bamboo that grow around here but not as large as moso, 3" max.

That would be great if you come up with some. I'd sure appreciate it. Tracy, I am surprised it grows around here. Thanks for all who responded. I appreciate it.
