Title: birch & heat?

I'm working a piece of birch that i got from halfeye and was wondering how it responds to heat, was wanting to flip the tip's a bit, it's a eastern woodland style bow, Bub

Both Yellow and White Birch respond very well to dry and wet heat.

    Ditto what Marc said. I use a lot of birch and just put it on the form after floor tillering and do whatever bending I want to do while I'm heat treating it. I find that heat treating really helps prevent chrysals too, but birch still needs to be wide.
    'Course I learned this from Marc's article in TBB IV.
