Title: Elm longbow 80# 32"
Post by: druid on August 14, 2012, 10:42:58 am
This is a bow for a friend that introduced me with beautiful world of bowmaking.....
It is elm with high heartwood content with slightly different limbs. 73" long, my friend will probably shoot it at shorter draw in the begining, he had pause in shooting longbows. Contrast between heartwood and sapwood makes this bow very interesting. Slightly set for now, very springy.

Very nice bow again Druid. I think you could take any sapling and make it into a beautiful functional bow with a graceful arc. Love seeing
your bows man.

Your bows are really something!  Would you consider doing a build along?  It is time consuming, I know, but you really have a gift and I know that people would like to see your tillering process on these man size bows you are turning out!! Great work.

Just plain cool Druid! I love all your bows. Something about the staves you choose and how you get them to be a bow really speaks to me. Awesome
