HEy Mitch,
I would suggest shooting heavy arrows...around 600 grains would do well.
-
yep heavy arrows high foc broadheads with single bevel and tanto tip like the grizzlys or tuskers

Billy: Thanx for the reply and I love your articles in PA magizine, I also enjoyed the Icaveman Specail on curiosity. I dont have a scale in grains is there a conversion from ounces?
Killerduck: Could you post pictures of the broadheads your talking about? I was hoping to get after some pigs with stone.
-
Went through and weighed all my cain arrows and they are all just shy of an oz??? ???
-
1 oz = 437.5 gr. Your probably a bit light. Josh
-
Ah ok i just looked up the conversion they average around 330 grains :-\

River cane mainshaft salt cedar forshaft and knock turkey wing secondarys and plant fiber twine the point is mahogany obsidian
-
I used patb's method of two fletch. During the bare shaft test i was consistently hitting a pinecone at 5 yards. Opinions welcome :D
-
That foreshaft looks awfully small in diameter and you need to wrap more behind the point. I usually wrap at least an inch and a half of sinew behind the point.
-
Ok i will wrap more behind the point. I shot it into a tree and the foreshaft held up fine
-
Here's a couple of two fletch I have made up for this year.
