Wanted to share this one for buckshot (aka Tyler) we just posted his first bow and then we decided he ought to have a pig-sticker too.
He reground the blade, made the antler grip, set the blade with spruce pitch, and sewed the saddle leather sheath (awl and needle) we then greased up the sheath with mink oil and worked a cased Ermine over it. The tiedown he cut from buckskin and wove it through the Ermine's eye holes, finished it off with pony beads and some bobcat and turkey claws.
Thought he did a real nice job and wanted to share, his bow draws 62# and ya can see he's good size young man......now workin on his first self bow, then on to a stave.

looks like a pig rapier!

looks great! Now all he has to do is travel to Hawaii and learn how to grab them by there front legs and flip them over, before stabbing them... Cant imagine trying to do that with a stone knife.

Thanks for the kind words fellas, I'll pass it on to him. He really likes it, even though the "parcticle" factor might be a skoshie bit light. 8)

Oh my! That's a serious blade right there! I really like the sheath. I'm probably going to pilfer that idea at some time. Josh
