It is some west texas chert from a guy out that way. Really nice stuff.  Kinda sad I have turned some of it to gravel.  Got alot of preforms just none this big.

Hey Seider, you really need to look at Jackcrafty's video on you tube demonstrating indirect percussion with the Ishi behind the knee. It will save your hands man!

I know the indirect feels awkward at first but it works great! I don't have the strength that you guys have and I was getting really sore, and not accomplishing much. I started doing the Ishi behind the knee and it leveled the playing field! Maybe it will help you accomplish your goals without injuring your wrists further! Good luck with whatever you decide!!! ;)

Interesting, I'm just the opposite.  Since Patrick taught me I started with indirect and using the ishi seems very funny to me.  I'm still figuring it out.  It also wears me out.  Paul keeps bugging me to use my knees so it's easier, but I keep forgetting.

Seider, you just painted a picture with that post. Made me think of one of those funny cartoon calendars you flip through at the feed store ;D.
