Title: gift for a friend.
Post by: Stringman on June 06, 2012, 04:30:13 pm
This is a piece of burlington that I worked out at the knappin last weekend. Once I got home I found the perfect antler to use for a handle and put the them together. After sorting thru my rather small pile of scrap leather, I found a piece big enough to make a cover for it.

I have been looking for the right item to send to a friend of mine as a small thanks for what he's done for me lately. I think this knife fits the bill. Hope he likes it.

Scott

Ok... Did you mean that like "thats so sweet!" -  (grandma voice) or "Sweeet!"  - (college dude voice?!?)   ??? Cause that might change the mental image I have that goes with the name Bub.

Thanks all! I forgot to mention he's a friend on PA.

If he sends the friend, I'll gladly give him a few educational lumps to the head for not appreciating such a nice knife!

I ain't gonna say dulce.. That knife looks up to the task of cleaning an elk or two. Great work and the sheath looks like a perfect fit. You're gonna have a happy friend.

Sorry guys...  >:D It came in the mail to mi casa 8) WOW!!! Three things that are very impressive about this special gift: the antler handle just feels like it was made for my hand. When I wrap my fingers around it I feel like Brad Pitt in Legends of the Fall  ;D The sheath fits like a glove over the blade. No, "if it doesn't fit. You must aquit" here. Then of corse the blade with razor sharp blade and wonderfully worked piece of pinkish rock.

Thank you Scott!!! You certainly gifted me more than I deserved. I will enjoy the knife for years and years to come.
