Hey guys,
Does anyone have access to a new or lightly used, layered foam block target at a good value? If so PM me and we can work something out.

my target is a burlap sack stuffed full of walmart plastic grocery bags you gotta really pack em in there fill it up til you cant get another bag in there and then sew the top shut.. I bet there's 20 lbs of bags in there. Really easy to make the hardest part is saving all your old bags but i got all my co workers to save theirs for me too. Makes a great target and it won't cost you a thing. when the burlap wears out just replace it and use the same bags from the first target.

Take a soccer ball, blow up beach ball, or box and spray it full of the can insulation foam. Works great.

I use straw now but want something that my arrows won't go through.. Tired of ruining my fletching... thanks for the tips and i'll keep looking...

arrows wont go through my bag target at all...

I stuff a gallon milk or water jug with plastic grocery bags. If using field tips, it will stop without an issue and it is easy to pull.

I have a very lightly used foam block. I think it is actually called the Block. I don't know how much they are but would gladly trade for something. Let me know what you have in mind.

Hey Jon,
Here is a picture...
-
Hey slowpaw, what is the size of that target? (length, width, depth)
Jon

It is about 18 in. square and just a hair under 13 in thick. I have only shot field tips into it. It stops graphite arrows from my compound no problem. My issue is my groups are so tight it is hard to get a hold of one arrow. They are hard to pull out especially those skinny little shafts.

Hey Slowpaw, Armor All or use car wax on your arrows and they will come out easy.
-
I thought about that but wouldn't they just go deeper?
-
Thanks for the offer Slowpaw, but i am looking for something that is at least 20" square, 22" would be much better...

I hear where you are coming from. This one was just really convenient to take alone on camping trips.
Good luck,

I fill with the poly insulation foam spray and have used multiple hanging throughout the woods to walk and shoot

go to northern tool and get foam blocks that they ship in there trailers they will give them to you and there wraped in plastic. i have four of them they work great.
-
bryan can you describe what northern tool uses these foam blocks for? I am gonna go ask them for some and I want to be able to describe what exactly im looking for. Thanks

If you are anywere near a lake you can see if they have any of the true foam not styrafoam blocks that they had to replace. They will usually give them away before they have to haul em off. That is what i have and it works great.
