Title: Remember on Memorial Day
Post by: Bevan R. on May 24, 2012, 10:49:24 pm
I hope that everyone will thank a Veteran this weekend. But also remember those that did not come home safe to loved ones. I personally want to thank ALL the fellow Veterans for their service and sacrifice.

A picture from my old brigade's memorial.  It covers troops that died in combat while under the command of the 16th Military Police Brigade from WWII to present.

I think most veterans will agree that it is the ones who never made it home who are the real. Those are the ones to remember.

Go to an event that is what this day is for visit the grave or place of honor and have a moment of reflection. This is what i am doing with my son so he will understand and remember what the cost of freedom is.

We ARE having a good Memorial weekend, although our hearts are full of
our grandson Josh who is in Afghanistan, USMC (second deployment). Also remembering our dear friend who lost her son, CW5 Dave Carter whowas piloting the helicopter that was shot down on 8-6-11. Dave went to  school with our children. The world indeed is getting heavier to lift
 up in prayer!
