I am making a 62"NTN bamboo backed Ipe pyramid style bow and have read that the limbs need to be thin enough to keep the reflex in then when making the glue up. Is 1/4" thick too much limb still? They flex real nice but might not be thin enough to hold reflex. The bow is 1 1/2" at the fades narrowing straight down to 3/8" at the nocks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If the ipe has passable grain (aka the grain is not at right angles) I tiller the ipe core to about 30lbs at 10inches before glueup. Then you also get a very nice, even reflex.
