well guys this is my first post and my first bow its a hickory bow i have been storing for two years. the other stave i had out of this log broke on me and decided to give it another try. the tiller is nowhere near perfect but it shoots great. thanks for looking

Looks like a very nice first bow BWB. Any chance for an unbraced and full draw pic. We love pics!
What are the dimensions and front profile?

thanks its 69 inches ttt and i think its pretty close to 50@28 not sure havent put it on a scale yet i will try to get some more pics up tomarrow

Looks like a very good first bow, good job! Tiller may not be perfect, but it looks like you're not far off. Maybe both midlimbs could bend a bit more. But hickory can handle a lot of abuse and is thus an excellent choice for a first bow with a bit whacky tiller.
One thing I would recommend you, is to lower the braceheight of the bow. The string looks too short, resulting in a braceheight that puts too much stress on the limbs. Braceheight should be about 6" from the belly of the handle. What the braceheight here? The picture may be distorting the view...

Good lookin bow bwb. Hickory is some good stuff, its right up there with osage on my favorite bow woods. Look forward to seein more bows from you in the future, it is hard to make just one.

hey guys thanks for all the comments here are some more pics i think the bottom limb is only bending at the fade but i didnt want to lose any more weight lol. the brace hight is a little high iam using a string off of another bow i dont have a string for this one yet

Not bad at all for the frist,wished mine looked that good,Maybe spread the bend a little more on the top to get that spot out 6 inches or so out passed the fads and she would be looking real good. Congrats. :)Nothing like your first shooter. :) :)

There is a lesson in every bow.... keep at it and keep posting .... I think you're cooked now, though to build just one (sounds like a potato chip add) >:D

Welcome, congratulations on your first ...NICE group! !!looks to shppt good, tour tiller will come as you get more under your belt. And now build yourself some bows, arrows, strings, knap some points forge a blade ahhhhhhh sorry the sickness is contagious RUN young man run save your self! Probably to late enjoy the addiction ;)
