how big of a hole would you reccommend in your forms?

you mean for the clamp? 1 1/2" fits most clamps i've used, Bub

I say 2" for ONE reason. My 1 1/2" get me once in a while when I need a deeper throated clamp and the bottom jaw wont fit.
