One day young man came into my shop and asked me to make for him a bow that looks similar to my old pyramid locust bow, but lighter. Yesterday I finaly finished it. It is 68" ntn pyramid, little over 2" wide at fades. One of the strange things: I have about two dozen staves cutted in one forest. All of them are prone to crysaling very much! This is one of them. What is interesting: they do not take much set along with getting crysals. Tiller of this bow should be total elyptical but finished whiped. I had to avoid crysaling that starts very early, on the first brace (before pulling further) and to avoid big nasty dead knot in one limb. Low set, smooth draw. On one pic it is side by side with my good old bow.

Very nice example Druid. I have been using Locust some lately and am pleased with the results I'm getting. You have inspired me to try a pyramid next.

Thank you very much for coments my friend! Every time I am doing my best, but with different results. :) As PeteC said, this bow should work more in the inner limbs to match the front profile but I wasnt able to do it cause crysals. Will fix that in some of the next bows. :-)

That looks great, I like the look of the back.

Druid, your bows amaze me everytime I see one. The Tiller is always spot on and it seems like you are not afraid to experiment with different styles. Thanks for another nice bow.

Excellent! I love your posts. I always look forward to your next one. The tiller is always close to perfect. You really make some some fine looking bows.

Very nice bow. I have some BL calling me too but it needs more drying time. It's been awhile since I've used it. Jawge
