Started on this on my lunch hour today then finished it when I got home. It is 4" long and 1.75" wide at the base. Interesting obsidian. One side is mahogany and the other almost solid black. With a little clear at the base.

Did you eat? >:D
No, I figure it will help the belt line if I break rock instead of bread for lunch.

Good job on that one... How long have you been knapping?!?!?

How long have you been knapping?!?!?
I would guess about 2 months.

nice point Bevan, is that some stuff from elktracker, it look's more like sheen than mahogany, Bub
-
Yes, Bubby. This came from Josh. I have never seen a piece like this. One side looks mahogany, the other like a sheen. with some clear near the edges. Other than the piece still under my thumbnail, I liked this piece.
-
i thought so, got some just like it, cool stuff, Bub
-
Good one Beavan! That looks real nice man!

All I had for lunch was Mongolian Grill! >:D
Bevan, your flirtation with the darkside needs to end. Put down the flakers and pick up the draw knife. Do it for your kid's sake. Ok, the cat's sake. Oh, and send me that point!
Seriously, you are making incredible strides with this stonework, buddy. That point is a show piece, sweet!
