Todays knapping, always wanted to attempt a drill, anyway here's my attempt. Really not to sure what all these drills were used for. Friend of mine tryed using them in a pump drill an said most of his attempts broke the bit almost every time :(, Maybe they were used like an awl ::). Anyways thanks for lookin. Bob

Tower, both pieces are west texas flint I got from Elmirino (Kinley Coyan). Some sweet knappin rock. Bob

I'll agree with ya on that. He has some real nice stone, especially when it has a little pink in it.

Those look real nice!! Nice work. I think that the drills were used in soft material.

Those are both sweet looking. I've made a few drills before and only broke two. One had a freeze fracture and I made the other too thin.

Looking good, Bob. I've got one I made from Onadoga and have been using it for years without it breaking.
