Post by: mullet on August 22, 2007, 08:26:11 pm
I need a little advice.I just got some 1/8" thick lam's of Hard Maple.I've never used it before. Is it good for backing Osage or is it a better Belly lam?I'm just trieing some different things than Boo.

Eddie,

Rock maple can be a great backing, although with osage I would prefer hickory. I would reserve the maple personally for lighter SG woods...just my opinion.....

I agree with Brian! :o  ;) I've never used maple backing but from what I have heard, use it on lighter woods.  Pat
