Title: Diamond back skins - farmed?
Post by: ravenbeak on March 23, 2012, 12:29:44 am
Hey guys,

I had an inquiry about one of my bows lately.   It is backed with Diamond back skins which I traded for.  I had heard that the skins come out of meat farms down south,  but recently I have been reading about the big snake roundups.   Do skins actually come from meat farms or is it mainly through these round ups that the skins come from?

appreciated,
Jamie

I have heard that roundups are mostly for venom collection, but im shure not all are returned to the wild...im shure that your suppliers would know more than anybody where they came from, it would be interesting to find out :D

Lots and lots come from the round ups. Soy the ones I know of,none go back in the wild, they are skinned and eat and skins sold in lots according to length.  :)
Either way they look good on the back of a bow. ;) :)
