does anyone know where i can get a drawknife for a reasonable price or for trade?

Try ebay. I've seen them there for about 15 or 20 bucks.

Garage sales and flea markets are a good place as well.
This doesn't asnwer your question, but a drawknife is not all there is. You could easily make bows without one. It's not necessary for bowmaking, although I'm pretty sure many bowyers really adore a good drawknife for staves - not so much for boards, though.

Try the classifides forum on this site

Bevan had a few he was trading on the Trading Post. You could send him a PM and see if he has more.

I always check the antique malls that have multiple vendors under on roof. You can usually find a corner or one of the vendors that deals in old tools. Seen many spokeshaves and handplanes, froes and such. Usually pretty good prices too.

You could search the site and see if anyone makes them for trade!

Antique stores or junk stores. I check a couple near my house every now and then to see if they have any.
