Title: making someof these.
Post by: Prarie Bowyer on March 10, 2012, 05:31:49 pm
http://www.cornishworkshop.co.uk/scraper.html

Got the skill saw blade all snapped up.  Almost have the 1st one finished.  A bit of a gheto version though.  I think I"ll just seat in a pair of regular nuts.

How wide should the blade be?

I'm gonig to give mine a bone foot.  I'll do two .  A "flat" just with a bit of angle on a flat foot and a radiused bottom for cleaning up riser fades.  I may do a third for scraping in ELBs.

Hopes dashed against the stones like wine glass at a Jewish wedding.

Monday.  I need machine threaded screws,  nuts and to find the bone and figure out how to put it on.

I finished the first one.  It seems to clog easily and it can chatter.  Blade is pitched at 90* with a bevel on the blade.

I'm making another with the blade bevel square and the whole thing pitched on a slight angle.
