I decided to play with some rock this past weekend.
Georgetown with a curly maple handle

Thanks for the kind words. Yes Cipriano, that is some of the concrete, I mean rock you sent me. I'm glad I have plenty of dogwood to smack it with.

Cip, I tried some of that stuff the other night. Good night is that hard!! Madcrow I have no idea how you got that to work. Very impressive. I'm taking some of that to cowboy when I see him> >:D >:D

And ya gotta keep in mind - some of this TX stuff is REALLY hard! Cipi: i bi-faced out all those spalls off of your biggun, just waiting to cook it. I won't touch it again till it's cooked :). Bring it on George! We'll make an arrahead or two. Sorry Madcrow, little side jaunt here :laugh:.

That's OK Paul. Have fun. I haven't heated any of that rock. Its more fun when it fights back.

My whole upper body hurts just looking at all that rhyolite. Very fine work.

Thanks everybody. Jimbob, the green is some sweet rock compared to the grey. Jonathan, all it takes is two folded t-shirts and a leather pad to cushion the blows. Next time I will try pressure flaking some of it.
