Title: Buying a warbow in the States
Post by: THookton on August 14, 2007, 03:52:34 pm
Hello everyone, hope this thread is not too silly...

so here it goes: Where can I get a good English warbow around 132# dw in te US?, well buying it from the uk cost too much...due the currency change.
I'm going for yew, or maybe I good laminate... by the way, what woods are the best peformers for laminates?. I can efford $500 US dollars bow, but if I can save some money it would be great!

Thank you a lot in advance... regards

Mark St Louis makes some very nice war bows, extremely fast. I have two of them at my house right now and cannot get over the energy these bows store and the profiles they have maintained. If I were a serious war bow shooter I would at least talk to Mark. Steve

There's that guy who made the famous Chief AJ bow  ;D.

If you can get a Yew warbow for $500 i bloody want one too! They cost £600 over here  :D.To bring the cost down get a laminate, mines Hickory,Greenheart and lemon wood,it shoot's great.
Mark st louis's Bows look pretty damn good, ask him to make you one (lucky bugger).
