How hard is the white??? Looks like opal???

Is that first one (White) petrified wood ? We have some at Vantage, Wa. that looks like that. ' Frank

i was just hittin' on it before i read this, i think the white ic opal as it is preety soft and will knapp nice, under the cortex is also some almost rootbeer colored stuff, not shure what it is but it flakes , Bub

Frank all the petrifyed wood that i've knapped had to be cooked to chip, course that could be my skill set showing ;D, Bub

I got tons of agate from the pits before they covered the good area up...that was a bummer! (Diatomacious pits) Also still have some good opal.

I have some of that light green looking stuff and have no clue what it is. Havent tried to knap any yet. intertested to see what you do with it,

olivine, malachite, jadeite, microcline are just a couple in my book that loo ssomewhat like that with it ooking the most like jadeite.... sry i cannot be of more help.
