Title: Goose down projects

I harvested several Canadian geese this fall and saved the feathers for fletching...I also found myself saving the down...the stuff is so light and easy to remove.

My question is, does anyone use the down for special projects? I'm leaning toward mittens.

I can't go without my down pillow for more than a few days. An exgirlfriend had a down blanket. It was SO comfy, but here in Texas it was almost useless. It spent just a few days a year out of the closet.

I sleep w/ a down pillow for years now.  Down comforter on the bed right now.

Whatever you make, might need to be quilted so as to keep the feathers form shifting and bunchng up.
