Title: Kazoo Sinew Bows
Post by: MWirwicki on February 24, 2012, 11:07:29 am
At the Kalamazoo Traditional Expo, we did sinew demonstrations.  For those that were there, I thought that I'd post pics of two of the bows that I sinewed, now complete.

The top shortie:  60# @ 24"
The bottom:   45# @ 28"

Thank you, Dazv.  The shorty is a copperhead and the other is prairie rattlesnake.

Hawkster:  Yeah, pics coming.  Maybe against a blanket of fresh snow, tonight.  Thought you especially would appreciate the little teaser....

Appreciate your follow-up posting the photos--very nice-inspiring--and very considerate of those who wonder--"Whet ever happened to...." !  My wife and I enjoyed meeting you at the Expo--and I appreiciate the time you spent with us and the detailed explanations---I've sinew backed many of my bows and am always learning!!!!  We got home from the Expo, I grabbed a stave.... started a new bow...set up a  jig like the one you used and as I write am watching the sinew dry.

Thanks!!!!!!
