While returning from the store today I found a groundhog about a hundred yards from my house that someone had hit.I got him skinned and fleshed. I haves no idea what I wanna do with the hide. I'm open to ideas.

Makes good bow strings and banjo heads!

			-
Tan it and make about 100-150 string silencers. Maybe a cool fur on pouch.

			-
				I see a hat.

What do you guys think of maybe a quiver?

			-
That would be a comfy loin cloth.  ;D

			-
I tell ya groundhog hide is pretty thick it took a while to skin 'im. When usually it only takes me a few minutes to skin a deer.

			-
Quiver with a tail dangling down from the bottom of it.

			-
Maybe if you shoot 14-16" arrows it could be a quiver. Otherwise you may get a little top heavy.

				Loin Cloth....
HAHAHA....

Ground Hawg makes a GREAT drum skin! ...if you're into primative drums.

OK Pearly, a kids quiver   ::)
I think I could get 2 loin cloths out of it  ;D

			-
				Maybe a Luchador Mask?
:)

LOL that's great Gus  ;D . I wanna make something useful and the silencers sound good but unfortunately I've never made one before. And I don't know anything about primitive drums.

If you sew the eyes nose and mouth shut, you can leave the face on and gain a few inches. This is my youngest daughters skunk quiver.  With 26" arrows.   Josh   .

Yea I couldn't salvage the head Josh so that's a no-go. But if I could get some advice on the silencers then I may do that.

silencers are super duper simple. Take a straight edge and a ruler and cut as many 1/4-3/8" wide by 4" strips you can.

That's one cute li'l stinker, Gun Doc.
Ground hogs actually have fairly nice pelts in colder climates.  Maybe that loin cloth idea isn't so far off the mark?!?!    >:D

LOL yea I could've used a fur loinclothe hunting squirrels and rabbits the other day.
BTW nice quiver gun doc. My kids aren't into archery yet but I'm tryin.

Jw, if those kind words are in regard to the quiver, then I am thankful for them.  If you are referring to my daughter, then she should be thankful in that she favors her mother!      ;)   Josh
