Here are a two differant types of Edwards flint. Raw they were ok but I decided to put a little heat on them. The roan colored point was brown before it was heated. I really like the color change. Both points were made from previously broken points.

I've had some color change in the perd i've heated. Mostly reds along the edge. Couple of em came out almost black in the learning years :o. Coupla nice killers there!

Thanks for posting those points. I have a couple I think I will revisit. They look great. I was looking at the points you sent me and I like how you finish the edge. Could you post a picture of the tool you use to do the egde finish work.

Thanks for the kind words. For the final edge work I use a home made flaker with a small copper nail,& the back of my pad. Here is a pic.
