Title: Edwards flint Montell
Post by: Tower on February 18, 2012, 05:28:41 pm
Here is a piece of edwards flint from the TX hill country. Don't remember where I gathered it from. It knapped pretty good raw, but I treated the preform anyway! Tried to make an andice , but wasn't able to thin it the way I wanted with percussion. So I removed some width & thinned it a little more with an Ishi stick. The Montell is one of my favorites to find. So that's what I made. Pretty rock, I wish the rock inclusions would show better in the pics.
