so my buddy brian and i headed out into the wilds of the missouri hills to find some river cane for arrow making and osage orange for bowmaking. found lots of horsetail along the creeks but no cane. found a few osage but nothing suitable for bow making. but we did stumble upon this. obviously outta use for at least a cupla yrs...

Whatchu doin` runnin `round in my woods??? We was runnin` dat thang jus` las` weekend!
Ya REALLY wanna be careful messin wit` other people`s toys ya know?
Actually, a nice find ya got there, I don`t think there`s a lot of those things left sitting around in clearings anymore. You didn`t happen to bring it to the house to see if it`d still work didja?
You might even find a couple folks in here to sample the goods, you know, to see if it`s fit to drink? Any volunteers? I`ll take the second shot......

I was talking to Pappy a few weeks ago and he want's to build a still and try that creek water making thing out. Sounds like it might be fun to do. "Twin Oaks Creek Water" now that sounds like a mighty good name!

That is a thing of beauty. Now days it's meth labs that you stumble upon.. And the scary folks that run them.

No comment if I like the stuff or not. >:D cuz it is illegal. The ATF wouldn't listen to any reason if they found that beauty on your land or your garage. As far as I've heard they are only legal if they have a hole in them somewhere. Now on another note, they sell stills on ebay and other sites all the time. Just want you to be careful. Don't let the scrappers know where you found it or it will end up @ the scrap yard. Coppers worth some $$. Sweet find though. Wish I'd a found that in my neck of the woods. I hear there are some big old crocks in one of these vallyes around my place. dpgratz
