I wish I could say I thought it up but it is a variation of one I saw...I used a bh I made a long time ago and am familiar shooting to weigh against the others I just made...Not perfect measurements but close enough I guess...and I will be able to weigh my arrows on it too to make sure they are close...

ATG,
Since I'm making my own tips and braodheads, they all need to weigh as close to the same weight as I can get them, that way I have as much consistency as possible. Whether I grab a target arrow or hunting arrow they will weigh the same so there is no variation in my target aim.
It doesnt tell me how much they weigh, its just a balance scale so all it says is that one is heavier than the other or they are close to the same weight. Right now I am weighing them against a zwickey and they are slighty heavier...
I used 3 coat hangers, one for the circle base and stand(gold hanger, straightened and bent into circle with one leg sticking up, I bent the V to cradle the balance bar), one hanger for the balance bar(black hanger, straightened the hook, bent a V in the center of the long section which is cradled in the stand V, and pinched down the tips to hang the arms), and one hanger for the two arms(at the bottom of the arm i bent a small circle, then used a piece of duct tape folded over the circle for my platform. When I hung the balance bar on the stand, I centered the down pointing leg by putting pieces of scotch tape on the heavy platform until they were even, then put the mark on the paper for blanced point and taped to the base to the paper.
Sorry im not so good at explaining things..

That's different. I use a cheapo drug dealer's balance you buy at the local beer/gas store for $4. It's in grains.
