I made this bow for a lady I met in Ok . She told me that she was Delaware and that she loved archery, but had been without a bow for ten years. I didn't think much about it until I got home and noticed a little piece of bw sapwood in the scrap pile. I then remembered the lady without a bow and went to work. 2 hrs. Later , I was putting the finish on it. It's 47" ntn 35# @ 24". The lady had tears in her eyes when I gave it to her. When I got going back down the road, I realized that I don't even know the lady's name. The moral of this story is, if you are to bring someone to tears, be sure they are tears of joy! ;) Josh

Thank you very much everybody! Two hrs is not the entire story. It was already debarked and close to the shape I needed . That sped things up considerably . When I get back home I'll try to post more pics.
Soy- Walnut King my furry donkey! When you see my pile o' shame, you will see that I am to
walnut what the emerald borer is to ash. ;) I do appreciate the kind words though. ;D

Nice looking bow GunDoc and very nice gesture to the lady as well. I just realized that you are a Kansas boy as well. I live at the opposite end of the state near the Oklahoma line in Cowley county near Ark city. Do you go to Ojam in March? If so we will have to look each other up. Danny

Thanks sidewinder! I haven't been to Ojam yet, but it sounds like a good time. I was by Ark city just last week on my way to Tulsa. Josh
