 I read wytetales build along, great by the way, I would really like to try one. My question is, I have some 1/4 sawn white oak, would that work? any idea on dimentions for the core? any help would be greatly appreciated.

1/4 sawn white oak will do about anything you want it to. Its a decent back or a great core. Build a bow with it and let us know what you though about it.
