I would swear there is a secret society of bowyers around here when I go to the second hand stores, flea markets, and the like.  I never see drawknives, especially nice ones like those two beauties!  I don't know who got there ahead of me and snatched 'em all up but it just frosts my cookies.

Either one will be a good investment, stringstretcher!

I am like you JW.  I never see them anywhere, but my flea market experience has been pretty limited too.  Yeah, these two are going to work just fine.

I had to pick mine up at a local Woodcraft but the selection was limited, as in they only had one haha. I like it alot, but it was pretty pricey. It's a small knife, only about 6" with a curved blade but it helps me control what I'm doing and focus on small areas when chasing a ring. Which is good for me because I tend to be impatient and rush things.

I came across these at an antique shop in the Wisconsin Dells and they had quite a few more....  Even some that were marked "Winchester".  Whenever I come across an old draw knife like these, I always buy them if the price is right.

Well I have the one that 3 rivers sells, and I just do not like it.  I can never get it comfortable in my hands with the round balls and the angle that they are on.  These will be a great improvement for sure.

I agree, I had one like that and traded it.

I have gotten all mine of the auction site.
