If you take the time to read thru some of the threads in this forum you will discover the average person in here is pretty crude, more than a little "off kilter", and not always capable of making sound decisions (read the thread with people throwing jars of gasoline on backyard bonfires, you will understand quickly enough).   ;D

I'm not bringing this up in order to disparage my esteemed colleagues, certainly not!  But rather I wish to point out that if we knuckleheads can successfully make bows it should be a snap for you to make one!

Maybe you should offer to barter something in exchange for some bow making tools!

Two things::...This site and the home De Pot... With this site and all the good info on here and a good piece of red oak from the home depot you can make you own bow. As far as tools all you really need are a good 4 in 1 wood rasp a scraper and some sandpaper.. Then a good stain and sealer.  You could make a good bow for around 30 bucks or so.

I don't know about that. JW makes some nice bows. Me on the other hand,... ...every once in a while, maybe once a year, I might make something that don't fall apart!
