i heard that you can keep them strung up for a month or two months with little draw weight loss. is this true?

I keep my Horn bow strung for a month at a time and have noticed no drop in weight. I did the same with my glass bows also.

Is your bow glass or horn? My Horn bow is water buffalo and sinew and I'd bet sure money that the humidity you have doesen't come close to what I put up with in Florida. If it's glass you can leave it strung outside in the rain and not worry unless you have it covered in leather.
