Hello guys.
This is my first successfully finished bow from the fifth attempt.
It's 58" ntn, 30#@27", snakehead fish skin backed and handmade sleeves from steel tube. Tiller does not perfect, but i am huppy with this bow. So far I have not had to bow and I never shot it, but now I am happy that I found this very interesting lesson. In my country shooting from traditional bow is not familiar, so I'm learn bowmaking from PA and Russian bowmaking sites. Thanks for looking and sorry for my english.

Wow, a take down for your first successful bow. Well done. I like the fish skin backing and the tiller looks good. Welcome to PA.

Thanks osage outlaw

That is incredible for your first bow. Well done! You have tackled many things that sometimes take years for bowyers to attempt. Take down, fish skins and a 58" shorty that is hitting 27" draw. Thats impressive. Congratulations

Nice looking bow, great job on your first osage.

Howdy Bakh,
Wow! Very nice bow!
So, can you go hunting with that bow in your country? I hope so.
All the Best,

Very nice job Bakh, very impressed with it for your first bow! I still haven't attempted a takedown or skin backing so my hat is off to you. Welcome to PA.
-
Thank you all, I appreciate your comments.
Pat I am from Uzbekistan.
Canoe in our country, hunting with a bow is banned and as I wrote above no one shoots from the traditional bow - trditional archery does not exist in Uzbekistan :(
-
Welcome! That is very fine work sir. It would seem you are misinformed on one thing. Traditional archery exists there with you! I am nominating you as the official ambassador of traditional archery in Uzbekistan. Now you can go forth and recruit others to our shared passion. Once again welcome, we are glad to have you. Josh

Welcome, very nice first bow. With the rich history of Uzbekistan on the silk trade route there must have been archery in the past. Glad you are keeping it alive in modern times. Keep up the good work and enjoy your new bow.
-
Thank you Jawge
Sure you're right Shaun, we had very rich archery history. At the Tamerlan's times there were really good and wellknown archers. However, up to these days this tradition has lost. I haven't seen any bowyer/archer yet, who makes traditional bows in Uzbekistan! i've seen traditional bows only in museums before. The only thing i can tell is non-traditional bows are quite popular. There are many sport clubs.

Now start teaching others !
Soon there will be many ,for you are good !

Hey Bakh, your bow looks very good. The tiller looks fine to me. Great job. God Bless
-
Beautifull Skins and a very nice bow. The Tiller looks perfect. Excellent first bow. I have a good friend in the US military and we have hosted some of your Commando's over here three years in a row. I did self defence demostrations against a knife for them, usually after lots of beef steaks, dark bread and too much vodka. :)
-
Great work on that bow! As a beginning bowyer I am very impressed with all the challenges you tackled on what became your first shooter, especially those skins. Can't wait to see your next bow!
-
Hello Bakh!! You have entered into the madness of selfbows. That is a wonderful first bow. Congratulations sir!
Здравствуйте Бах!! Добро пожаловать в безумный мир искусства строительства традиционных луков. Вы создали первый замечательный лук! Поздравляю Вас, сэр!
Sorry for my poor Russian :)
-
For a first time you have made a very good impression on us! Welcome to PA. I hope we see many more of your bows here, especially when you start to recreate the bows of your ancestors!
Welcome friend!

Thank you all for such a nice posts. I am proud to get all your opinions about my job.
Mullet, i think your self defence demonstrations were finished successfully after vodka ;)
coaster500 your Russian is perfect, лучше не бывает, sir :)
