Post by: fishfinder401 on December 10, 2011, 10:25:04 pm
i was just wondering if anyone wanted to trade for some beeswax, the blocks are 1lb(i think) could be a little less, i am looking mostly for large heavy spine river cane shafts or any heavy spine shafts , but i can use almost anything

Might be.  Would you be interested in some Meadowsweet shoots and what length are you looking for?

Meadowsweet is a shrub that is widespread up here and is a member of the Rose family.  It's a tough plant and my favourite for making hunting arrows.  Unfortunately I don't have anything in that length.  I have a few raw laminated wood arrow blanks made of Black Ash of that length that I have left over from when I wrote an article on that subject a few years ago but that's about it.

By raw I mean square blanks to be turned into arrow shafts and I only have 5 of those.  I'll have another look tomorrow to see if I have anything else at that length.
