This is the first rigid handle bow I've made in quite some time and I want you guys to give me an idea of where I'm at. Drawn to 24" in the pic. I want to make sure I've got the fades working like they need to before I make some unwanted set and draw it any further.

Good Job. Looks like it'll be a beauty! To my eye, it might be a tiny bit stiff in the last 1/3 (of both sides but a little more on the top limb) just before the flipped tips. You might get your next few inches of draw out of that area. The handle fades look ok to me but I'm just an apprentice here so take my opinion with that caveat. I'm interested to see what the more seasoned guys here have to say as well. What are the spec's on that thing? Usually everybody's going "where's the money shot?" but we got that right off.

Tough to say without seeing an unbraced side view. How long is the bow?

Bow is 64" TTT. Here's the side and front profile

Seems a little stiff right off the handle top n bottom, not earning its keep but wait till one if the experts shouts in.

With that width taper the tiller needs to be elliptical - as you move out towards the tips the bend should gradually increase.
I would get a little more 'work' out of the inner limbs - but only a shade.
The upper limbs outer 1/3rd is stiff at the moment, get it to match the lower first. Then get more bend out of both limbs outer 1/3rd.
-
A little stiff off the fades and you could probably thin the tips a bit.

I agree, stiff out of the Fades, and stay off the curve, and Gordon said what to do with the Tips. Looking real good, just needs that slow tweaking now.
-
Thanks fellas, just what I was lookin' for. Now I can finish it up.... :)
-
I agree you could tiller down into the fads a little other than that looks good to me.
-
I have made 6 bows and I can tell you at this point you need to go real slow. Small changes make a big difference. That is my 2 cents worth

64"? wow, I would have thought it much shorter from the pics. Nice profile and great tiller for a bow of that style. Look forward to seeing the final product.
