Title: maple bow
Post by: mspink on December 02, 2011, 12:41:11 am
Hey, hows it going? Been pretty busy lately but managed to make this bow for a friend. 55 lbs @ 28". 64 " tip to tip. 2" at widest down to 3/8 or so tips. Shoots well. Got a few pics but no full draw because the finish is still too new for that. Giving it to my friend early in the morning before I jump out of helos so wont get a full draw pic. Figured I would post what I had time for. Thanks for looking..

The handle is just a strip of burlap fabric twisted up.

Jimbob, I may get a chance to go to bragg but not sure when or if I will. We get chances occasionally to jup out of the 17's here though.

Thats cool, I used to love the C-17s.  Like riding in a flying cadilac.

Well executed bow. Low set for that design and don't need to see full draw to know it's spot on. Did you heat treat it?
