Well I just did.
A while ago I posted pics of the first buck I ever got with a bow:

He was an unusual non-typical mulie, but big and strong, nonetheless. Well today as I was heading into work I saw him walking bold as brass up the road by the house. Right front fork is just a single tine, left rear fork is just a single tine. 3x3, taller than wide, stout bodied.
It's gotta be his son! I'm really conflicted, I would love the chance to get another nice buck, but wouldn't it kinda look like a vendetta against his family?!?! The more I think about it, the more I think I will pass him by. I won't shoot him. It just wouldn't be right.

Instead, I am going for the HUGE 5x5 he was running with!!!!

Yes, I used the four letter "W" word. My bad, I apologize.

Very distinctive rack. Good for you John. 8) It would be interesting to see how the family tree branches out from here. Plus, a few extra points would definately be a better choice at this time. ;)

Maybe he is a brother and the 5x5 is the Dad ! Ha ! ! They all eat good. I'd shoot him or any other. Look like some good knapping tools in that ones rack. ' Frank

I know this deer, he was a small and odd fork horn last year. He'll be a 3 1/2 yr old this year. His rack does not have a lot of mass yet considering the size of the body, plus his face is very dark. Haven't seen him since. Maybe I need to be out in the back before dawn and just at evening.
