Title: Bow for the grandson
Post by: mullet on July 15, 2007, 01:53:16 pm
Well, after making my grandson a few quick little stick bows to play with when he was smaller I thought it was time he had something to get in trouble with ;) This little bow is 44" tip to tip and pulls 18#@22".It's 1 1/2" at the fades and tapers gradually till the last 6" then tapers to the tips. This is my first attempt at a board bow.the board was a 1x2 red oak from the lumber yard and backed with virgin silk.I'm suprised it has only taken about an inch of set, which is good for my grandson. Now it's time to finish his cane arrows and spotted fawn quiver.

The bow is super just like your grandson.  Congrats on both. Got your grandson's bow bookmarked for Self Bow of the Month and for Kid's Bows.  Thanks.
