Title: Pedernales pig sticker
Post by: Tower on September 14, 2011, 10:38:35 pm
Seen some mighty fine pig stickers posted here. Not much on sticking a hog with a shaft that big, but I thought I'd try my luck at making a point that might do the job. Its a piece of Jefferson City stone knapped into a TX Pedernales type point.  This point type is the most commonly found in my part of the TX hill country. It was a pretty good stone , but it did get a little stubborn a few times.  Guess I could chase an Armadillo down & try it out.

Nah Jamie....they're too thin...snap right off in the shield lol...at least this one is about as thick as two quarters stacked together rather than just one.
