People of Jicarilla and stories about Chief Garfield inspired me to make this bow for my good friend Goran. It is knoty ash sapling, 66 ntn, 1" thick and 1 1/4 wide, 70# 29", not heat treated. I hope he will enjoy in this gullwing...

Damn, another of your beautiful rough bows!
I think i will have to try something like that,i really like the mix of refined and primitive in your style.
too bad we dont have much suitable wood in northern part of sweden for sapling bows besides rowan and birch.

druid,i just love sapling bows and that is a beauty. what species of ash is it?and what are the tip overlays made of? 70 lbs. from a sapling is impressive. was the gull wing shape natural? as you said no heat.

I really like your style Druid!

thats pretty sharp , you do good work.
-
dude seriously...stop making me drool.

Ok.
(1), Nice bow! How did you get that grainy finish? Did you sand blast it?
(2) The photo station you made above. How did you do that? Is that a sheet or paper in the background? Great lighting there.

Thank you people, all... :)
Wood is white ash and overlay are bl. First two pics are taken from some museum documents, I forgot to say it, my mistake. Wood is natural, this is how back of the white ash looks like when you strip the bark off with your fingers in the spring, when it is easy to strip.

I reeeaaally like that.
