Hello Everyone,
I've been going through my tree books trying to ID this tree with no luck so far.
My Mother in Law is about to have this tree taken out an says I can take what ever parts might be useful. It's about 10 to 12 inches in diameter at the base and about twenty five or thirty feet tall.
Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Yep lace bark elm. I have always wanted to plant some of these my yard but I never have.

It is a nice looking tree.
My wife's grandmother planted this tree when they moved into the house.
The problem is she planted it too close to the house...
I like trees alive and healthy.
And like many other things, as I've gotten a bit older, I will not kill one unless I have to.
It is nice to put the wood to good use when a tree has to come down.
